Violent City - Session 4
I don't have a lot of comments for this session, it was very cool, very fun, and we made a lot of plans that are likely to bite us in the ass. Here's the log I made for it.
As a reminder, our characters are:
Dingo "Wild Dog" Wells (Deft Bounty Hunter 1), as well as his dog called Wolf - Ags
Leaper Black (Fortunate Devil Summoner 1), as well as the Eye Devil - Me
Madonna Delicious (Deft Next-Top-Model 1) - The Bad Doctor, who couldn't make it to this session

Dingo getting helped out by Dr. Spoof, he is terrible.
While there he asks Jewel about going to the party. "Everyone will love you, there will be a contest."
She's super happy with that.
Hearing about it, Dr. Spoof says Dingo shouldn't miss it, and offers drugs that can supercharge his recovery.
Dingo says he'll take 'em.
Dingo gets injected with various substances in unclean needles, gets a kick of energy. This doubles his rate of healing. For this, he owes 1000 Credits to the doctor, but it can be paid in a while - indeterminate.
Meanwhile, Madonna Delicious headed out to Delicious Towers to deal with the crackheads, but Jo couldn't come... Wolf (Dingo's Dog, which Ags is playing as now) meets up with the rest of the party.
The rest of the party is near to the distillery, there's a guard tower without a machine gun nest overlooking it. Nearby they will have security at night, but not a ton of guys.
The party discusses unrelated details about the world to get things straight.
Back to the scene, Diego says he can get the bike inside to load and unload the booze. We figure someone has to go inside the get the garage door open and get some more details.
Wolf will be on standby to freeze people.
The party makes plans.
Later on, Eye Devil circulates and finds a ventilation shaft, flies inside and pops out into a large open room with a bunch of strange copper collared huge objects, some are strangely shaped and gourd-like, for the distillation process.
He sees a middle aged guy strolling, with a little truncheon tapping lightly on the equipment to find different tones and making a little song. The place is dark and the guy has a flashlight.
The Eye Devil goes to the fire escape, opens it to investigate and it leads outside. The guard hears it and comes to investigate, he informs on his walkie talkie that he thinks there's someone inside. The Eye Devil flies out to inform Zero of the fire escape and the guard.
Meanwhile, Molars sees the guard on the guard tower. He wears armour from the 12th Legion and appears professional, probably a veteran. Molars seeks out a drum on fire with people cooking shoes.
"Hey you got bullets?" asks Molars
"If I did I wouldn't be here! Who the fuck are you?"
"I could make that happen" Molars pulls out his shotgun.
"I'm ambivalent to this."
The people dislike that, a lady starts screaming.
"I'm gonna cook you in this if you don't shut up." says Molars.
"You'll be stricken down! You'll be stricken down!"
"You should think about how you act." Molars then gives them 5 credits.
The ambivalent guy thinks this makes it better. Molars gets mad that he now cares about it and says "You're mine now, come with me or I kill you. How good are you at tracking time?"
"No one orders me around like this..." and slaps Molars in the face and calls him a goof.
Molars says he's seen children with cockroach hands slap harder and that he'll die in 5 days.
The guy starts marching away.
Molars grabs him and puts a knife to his brainstem and orders him to track time. "You like drink? You like drugs? You like loose women? That's what you surface people like."
The guy appears to have shut down.
Molars gives him 3 shells and tells him to count 3 minutes and drop the shells inside the fire barrel. "I'm learning, you can't be an obstacle to me learning." The guy is nodding along.
The shells go off and Molars rushes to position. He puts the knife between his teeth and creeps up.
The guard in the tower withdraws and reaches towards a bell to ring it.
Using the noise, Molars climbs up the tower and ambushes him. Other bells are going, it appears there's signalling going on. He doesn't seem very stressed though, but very careful.
"That looks like bait for sure." says the guard right before Molars puts the shotgun between his shoulder blades.
"Call off the alarm now or you're gonna die."
The guard raises his hands. "I can call it off, but they'll still send a patrol this way."
"That's fine, call it off."
The guards rings four times. "We cool?"
"Armour off, weapon on the ground. Go home. I was in the legion too, I don't want to kill you."
"You're one of those printed guys."
"Yes. We are still brothers."
The guard nods and leaves. Molars takes his rifle and puts the armour on. [Compact Plate (AC4)]
Wolf decides to start barking when the patrol arrives. Molars plans to shoot to miss towards him to make the patrol look at him. "Woof woof! WOof woof!"
Zero decides to lay low for one pass of the patrol.
Molars sees the patrol go up to the barrel and start talking to the homeless guys. He decides to shoot at Wolf.
Zero decides to go around with the Eye Devil's guidance towards the fire escape.
"Corporal, what the hell was that?" Ask the guys in the car to Molars, who says it was a demon. They say that's very serious, tell him to ring the alarm, and drive off. Molars cuts the bell entirely.
Guards start following Wolf and shooting at him. "Woof woof!"
Wolf successfully breaks line of sight and dives in a nearby trash pile. Lights appear down the alley and some men disembark and starts moving.
Molars starts shooting to try and trick them as if the beast is still going. "IT'S OVER THERE IT'S SO FUCKING FAST!!!"
Meanwhile, Eye Devil is flying back inside to help Zero along.
Back with Wolf, there's a guy investigating his alleyway. Wolf decides to stab him with a paralysing tail. Fails to penetrate the armour, the guy whips around and gets into a fighting pose with his SMG.
As Eye Devil goes inside he hears the guys inside going nuts and freaking out. One with a truncheon searching the room, pannicked. The other is taking a position on overwatch. Eye Devil reports this to Zero. They decide to go through the main entrance while the Eye Devil stays to spy.
On the other side, Wolf is staring down the guy. He decides to run away towards him, on the wall, and out of the alley. The guy shoots at him, scraped by SMG bullets.
Lights start popping on, guys in other towers start looking for the "devil dog". Wolf decides to jump on top of a building with his demon attunement in a single bound, legs coiling with demoniac musculature.
The guy goes into the building to follow Wolf. Molars tries using the light to fake him out while Wolf goes in a different direction.
Back in the distillery, Zero pulls a chain to go inside the garage and piles barrels in front of the other door.
In the distillery room, the guys are pannicking. "Johnny, the garage door!" but they decide not to be heroes and hold the fort.
Zero loads Diego's motorcycle with the barrel.
Back with Wolf, there's other buildings but it would take a task roll. Wolf passes easily. With Molars doing the trick of the light, the soldier gets misled.
Everyone manages to get away and rendezvous back in the desert.
Diego says that was fun. Leaper orders him to take it to the Delicious Towers.
"You should put a good word in for us with the Mad Gears." Says Molars.
"Ye." Says Diego. "I hate my dad though."
"You want us to kill him?"
"Ye. He ruins everything! He's named Psycho the Samurai, he's a captain of one of the subsidiary gangs."
Wolf's red rocket comes out.
-We take a break-
We return and learn that Psycho the Killer is leader of the Crimson Flag sub-gang. They're very pro-demon, very militant, openly deal with demons in Golgotha. A lot of these deliveries are between the demons and Bunker-88.
There's 2 crackheads making a mess, there's a pizza stain on our beautiful St. George and the Dragon painting.
Molars and Zero decide to crucify the guys and paint the sign "Bad Vibes" on them.
The stuff has been quite well decorated by the Decoration Club. The bugs are all and about, swarming the place and concentrated on the zombies.
Molars wants to invite the bugs to the party. Wolf wants them to be the entertainment as a bug pit where we feed zombies to the bugs. Molars says bugs famously loves drum and bass. We're not sure what to do.
A while later, before the party, Molars hears a knock on the window. It's a Fly Boy (a boy who turned into a fly) with its foreleg. He doesn't appear to speak but entreats Molars to follow him.
Zero and Wolf go, Leaper doesn't want to as she hates bugs and sends the Eye Devil instead.
The lads find a large broken down church, beautiful stonework collapsed in itself. The Fly Boy doesn't go towards him and keeps going. They find some ruins with a sewer entrance.
They climb down, Wolf stays outside. In the lanternlight, to the south they see maggoty sludge thick with eggs and mosquitos.
"Someone here wants to chat with us, reveal yourself?" says Molars, to no avail. Zero starts shifting form.
They go west. Molars gets 1 HP damage from bug bites. The corridor turns, sludge deepens and they have to wade through. Molars rolls under intelligence and identifies Centipede Fish under the water. These tend to be hostile, like all bugs. Molars goes inside and the fish don't bite him, and ask for directions from the fish.
We wade through sewers for a while until we find a chamber with a TV on. A voice comes from the ceiling "You ever seen this movie before?" Michael Mann's Collateral starts playing on the screen. It's a massive centipede with a guy's head and a swarm of bugs.
Molars says some stuff about the movie, I didn't catch it. Nevertheless the centipede climbs down and says "all wrong! This is a fun movie, an action movie! So, you said I could be with the most beautiful woman in the pageant." (Molars had offered the bugs the winner of the pageant)
"Yes but you have to bring a woman." Says Molars.
"You killed my girlfriend and took her home, so you owe me a woman. The harpy."
"You seem like a fair person, and I want you to abide by the same rules. Bring a beautiful woman, and if she wins, you can take her on."
"I can just use force!"
"Mad Gears and Prodigo will be there, it will get messy."
"I don't care. I love parties! You didn't even invite me, I'm Mokudo! King of the Bugs!"
"I didn't know you existed, I'd be honoured to have you at the party. But you need to abide by the rules otherwise the vibes get bad."
He says the woman must be on offer to him when he arrives.
"Here, you need to do something for me, otherwise the party is out. I want your bugs to deal with Prodigo and the Mad Gears."
"Yeah, it'll be a Bugs' Party. But whenever I arrive, it'll be my party."
"No, party's off. We have orders for the party not to happen if we don't come back."
"What!?" He seems pissed off.
Molars says he doesn't give a fuck because he's 6 months old and don't care to die if he doesn't want to play by the rules and issues and ultimatum.
Mokudo gives a bellowing laugh. "I was just testing ya, see! I'm the god of parties, of course I'll play along. I'm not taking a girl, but we can make a bloodbath of a party."
"Alright, when we start singing the classic 'The Rhytmn of the Night' that will be the signal."
We are escorted out of the sewers. He seemed disappointed about the reaction to Collateral but otherwise is fine with it. The gang sleeps in the sewers.
Back in the surface, late at night, Wolf (who's been bored and humping things with his red dog dick) hears noises of vehicles. He hides. "Woof, better go hide!" But he takes a peek to see who's passing by and see a couple silhouettes, among them three men lined up in front of the sewer, begging for mercy. They're killed by guys in armour and their bodies put in the sewer. "Woof woof, that's crazy." These guys are clearly Mad Gears.
The next day, Wolf uses one of his atunements to be able to Scooby-Doo the information to us. Everyone gives a thumbs up.
On the way back we investigate that church we passed by. The door is stuck and Zero busts it open, there's some Whitehack nonsense here about difficulty values. What was holding the door fast was a bunch of webbing. Zero gets caught in it. Four little spiders come towards him so he transforms and blasts them, as Molars tries to cut him loose with his knife. His lightning blast kills all of them, opens a hole in the web.
A voice yells "Who disturbs my sorrow and my crying!? Leave this place!"
Zero and Molars tries to invite her to the party, but she seems intransigent.
"If you are my new neighbours, know I'd like to be left alone. There's so much sadness in this world!" She's starting to break down and cry and get mad.
Molars can't quite get a good view but what he sees is a world of white, the insides have been swathed almost entirely in web, it looks very beautiful.
"I'm sorry if I offended you-" Molars starts saying, but 7 spiders start coming down. Zero shuts the door.
While all that was happening, back in the Towers, Leaper sees a bunch of vehicles start rolling up. From it, a man with an eyepatch and samurai armour comes out. He starts approaching with chest puffed out, very military, his thugs are armed and approaching too. They approach the crucified guys, look up and down, and sends a thug to go mistreating them.
The samurai comes to the apartment building and Leaper goes down to meet him.
He's a scout for the Mad Gears, he finishes killing the crucified guys and mount their heads on pikes. He sits, feet up. They back and forth a bit and make a deal for her to help him abduct Prodigo in exchange for power and fame.
We take stock of the situation, apparently the Mokudo centipede has 20 HD. Bass is coming to get revenge, Psycho the Samurai's plan we just got towards.
