Session 1 (Sep 24, 2026) - Council on Kashyyykk
Thoughts
This time around it was mostly a few cutscenes back to back. We had one explaining the plan and situation, then another of the emissary presenting his case to the king. It was alright, there wasn't much I could do but that kinda comes with the territory of a Council Scene and with being a Padawan.
I think next session, it being more directly "let's do some spy shit" I'll have some more latitude with what to do and where to go. I believe we'll be finishing this business on Kashyyykk too so I wonder where we'll go next.
We also discussed before the session about how the clone wars took place over just 2 years and that sounds too short, then during the session I was like 'Wait but these guys have a huge army just 1 or 2 hours away because of how FTL travel works in Star Wars' so now it makes sense. Of course the war was just 2 years (assuming it was 2 years of extreme intensity like WW1 and WW2), everyone can be everywhere at any moment, as Sieg said, so they're playing Space Whack-a-Mole with one another.
Personally, I enjoy time records and seeing the days go by, planning stuff, getting an idea of where in the year we are, etc, but I'm open to going by story convenience too. Like Sieg also said, it is hard to keep everything in mind when dealing with Star Wars, where there's a billion guys in a billion places doing a billion things every day.
Recap
Vinna Halcard finally arrived at the place where the Jedi Temple told her to be and met her new Master: Jedi Council Member Kit Fisto.
Another one on the list of guys I heard Sieg talk about a lot. One time we went into each of the jedi council members and which ones he liked most. I imagine he stayed between Kit Fisto and Plo Koom.
Sieg describes him as being physically oriented and kind of a joker, so Vinna has... misgivings. She doesn't mind a joker, but she's very much not physically oriented. Regardless, she keeps her cool and introduces herself and shortly afterwards Kit Fisto introduces the mission: emissary of the Separatists Wat Tambor is here, representative of the Techno Union, and they want to close a deal with the Wookiees which will give them safe passage through the mid rim, as well as an outpost to station their soldiers and a source of nice minerals to build their droids. He has an audience with King Grakchawwa and the council of Kashyyykk and we have to stop him... somehow.
Professional nerd lmao.
Vinna starts thinking of strategies and asks how long they have until the audience, when she sees Wat Tambor walking down the local passageway with the king while Kit Fisto urges her, even while still covered in mud, to come along.
The council goes relatively smoothly. Wat Tambor presents his deal and says the Separatists can't guarantee their safety if they decline, Vinna (which Kit Fisto basically picked just for this purpose) points out this is clearly gunboat diplomacy and that Kashyyykk won't be safe regardless, because if it becomes a corridor to stage an attack, the Republic will have to respond. She appeals to the Wookiees' sense of honour and to their respect for their flora, which will clearly be chopped down if Wat Tambor gets his way.
King Grakchawwa ponders his difficult situation, saying how the Republic might not be able to protect his people, and how the Separatists are thuggish, and therefore no one has the interests of Kashyyykk truly at heart. One of the clones, Trap, shows his majesty footage of Vinna chopping down the crab in one swing and the king becomes impressed with the power of the Jedi and our guarantees to protect him, so he sides with the Republic.
Wat Tambor takes this with little grace, says some villain shit like "this won't be the last of me, Jedis!!!" and storms out. Outside, Vinna expresses her misgivings to Kit Fisto about the power of the Republic to protect the Wookiees now, since Wat Tambor has perfect intel on them. They see Wat Tambor talking to a strategist droid, up to some nefast business no doubt, and so we ended the session.
The plans for next session are hacking Wat Tambor's ship, taking that hologram call, verifying it is in fact some evil shit, and taking it to the king (who's also a senator) to justify us kicking Separatist ass.
